It took 11 contact over three weeks time via 3 different communication media in order to ind out where my purchase was. Tone Deaf CS. I am done with this company... period.
Second time I've tried ordering online with EB and both times were just horrible. There won't be a third time. Email is not answered, customer service phones simply disconnect you and the "chat" function is disabled. Order status online showed a "Shipping Date" and "delivery date" were identical and were non-sense. Someone had just entered data to have something in there - it had no relationship to my order. Save yourself some grief, shop elsewhere.

I returned a defect coat and got confirmation that Eddie Bauer had received it. I made a few calls in the past 6 months, but have not received the refund until now. They always said that the e-gift card will be sent to my email box with 48 hours, and also provided me a order number of the e-gift card, but never really send it out. The status is always "your shipment is being prepared ". It's so frustrating!
I did a reservation online and I was told I need to pick up at 1850 29th Street Boulder, CO 80301 in 24 hours. I drove 35mins from Golden to Boulder today to pick up. However, the store was temperally closed for weather reason on a sunny day. It was "Open" on google map and I have not been informed about the closure at all. All other shops in Boulder are open today except Eddie Bauer. I understand there was some snow last night. But at least I should be informed about the closure as I made the reservation. I made the trip for nothing.
I called the customer service and the store the other day. They refused to trans the product to a closer store and asked me to make another one hour round trip or pay extra for shipping. They want me to take the full responsibility.

I like Eddie Bauer's products and have shopped in their stores for years. However, Eddie Bauer customer service and institutional honesty has fallen on hard times. I ordered about $90 of sale items on Dec 20,2020. I received an automated confirmation and FedEx tracking codes. One month out FedEx was still indicating these tracking codes never entered their system, so nothing to track. After several emails to Eddie Bauer's CS I finally got a response and the rep said my MC would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days. Of course, that didn't happen and 3 weeks after the fake refund I'm calling my credit card company to reverse the charges. I don't know if Eddie Bauer are crooks or asleep at the wheel but the bottom line is I didn't get product or refunds due, so it would be wise to take your business elsewhere.
BRUTAL. I can't believe i didn't check this site before I ordered. Didn't ship my item for two weeks. DID NOT tell me it would be slow. To talk to an agent, who I could barely hear, I had to go through 1000 ID verifications. She hung up one/we got cut off part way through the call. She has my number (it was one of the verifications!) SHE DIDN"T CALL ME BACK
We finally made a complaint with the BBB, as recommended by our attorney. Here is that complaint:
We are at our wits end in trying to get assistance from Eddie Bauer's extremely mean-spirited customer service agents. We have tried NUMEROUS times via their website and via email but have met with extremely rude people -- some of whom do not understand English well.
The latest one, a "Claudine P" simply kept sending the same email stating to call your number (which we did but gave up due to how long we were on hold). Claudine P seemed to revel in being annoying, as she responded right away with the same reply (we'd previously waited days for a response).
After literally dozens of emails, we were told to "file a police report" because we did not receive one single shirt valued at less than $50. This is the kind of nonsense Eddie Bauer subjects customers of 30 years to. Eddie Bauer uses delivery companies that are unreliable in our area, and who regularly mis-deliver or throw packages in or around the street. It is left to the consumer to sort all of this out.
We also returned an item weeks ago but no receipt, no refund. It has disappeared into the Black Hole of Eddie Bauer's criminal bilking of its customers.
i ordered a shirt and sweater on 11-27-20. i got the sweater quickly within a week or so. still waiting on my shirt.... it's now february 2nd...i've done the online chat twice and gotten the runaround on getting the shirt delivered or getting my money back. doesn't look like i'm going to get either. from reading other reviews seems to be a common theme....
I ordered a total of 5 long sleeve cotton tees in mid November. After over 3 weeks and several phone calls to customer service, three of the shirts arrived sporadically over the next two weeks. I am still waiting for the other two which they claimed had shipped. Eddie Bauer has my money for merchandise I never received. Calling customer service is a complete waste of time. Consumers should not have to tolerate this kind of rip off from any business. Additionally, the quality of the shirts was pitiful..won't last a season. Simply unacceptable and shameful way to treat customers.
Ordered a puffer jacket from Eddie Bauer. It arrived late with an ink security tag on it. They do not do exchanges. I was informed that I have to process the jacket as a return, pay postage, wait for a refund, then order the jacket again. Or, I can buy the jacket again now, and wait for the refund, which ties up $300 of my money until they process my refund. TERRIBLE way to handle things. All that trouble because they made a mistake that I have to fix. Won't be ordering from them again.
I'll never order from Eddie Bauer again. Ordered a $150 jacket that was on sale. The zipper on it was cheap and practically impossible to zip up and down. When I called them they said it was defective and to send back and re-order. I re-ordered and they promised me the sale price but charged me the full price. I called them about it and was told it was just a hold and they would cancel and charge me the lower price but it would take over a week for this to take place. What a s**t show. NOT impressed with Eddie Bauer quality or customer service.
Do not buy from them online. Their logistics is terrible! I have waisted a lot of time in trying to figure out when is my delivery date. Their information from Customers Service to the Tracking Service web site does not match. I bought a pair of pants and shoes on Black Friday and is already Dec 22 and haven't received anything... They wrote to me now saying they are processing my refund. Let's see what happens.
This is the most poorest ran company. Their products are not worth the pain and suffering you have to deal with from problems with their website, lack of skilled labor, poor customer service call center managed overseas, delayed shipping, poor tracking and communications, to poor packaging. This company has done well of planning how to run a business into the ground. It has invested its efforts in hiring diversity over skilled labor, and political issues over quality customer service. This company is destined to file bankruptcy if management isn't replaced with knowledgeable executives and skilled staff. I strongly advise anyone out there to stay away from this business. I wish I was advised before dealing with them on my last purchase.

Typically five to ten days. You have the option to pay for faster service.

Recently this has gone way down hill. And since Co-VID, don't expect a resolution any time soon - if ever.

You will wait on hold to speak with someone from a country other than the US who barely speaks English and does not deviate from scripted responses. This person will give you vague answers, or multiple different, contradictory, answers depending on how many times you ask the same question. You will spend at least 45 minutes on the phone. The end result of the call with this "customer service" representative will be that nothing more is accomplished other than you gaining enlightening you as to how it feels to want to rip your own hair out at the same time as crawling through the phone and strangling someone.

I don't know. Seems like a legit, but there are a lot of negative reviews. Something wrong with them

They are a legitimate company. They do have some good quality products, although not all. But their customer service is just terrible now. It has been on a downhill spiral (outsourcing - and not utilizing a central customer service site in the U.S.) I've spoken to individuals recently who have such a thick accent that I cannot understand them, and prior to that they were outsourcing to home workers who had no authority to do anything.
